Requirement: Previously installed bitumen based waterproofing membrane was leaking at the overlaps and at outlets allowing water ingress, therefore damaging the concrete slab beneath causing concrete cancer and mould issues to the residential apartments below on the 8th floor.
Wetherill Park – Fire Fighting Tank
Requirement: A new facility was built for bulky retail goods, therefore it was mandatory to build three fire fighting water detention tanks. The shear size and water capacity meant that the waterproofing which was originally specified had cracked under the heavy load when the tanks were filled.
